Ingredients

  • 125 ml (½ cup) kale
  • 15 ml (1 Tbsp) kelp or knotted wrack flakes
  • 250 ml (1 cup) almond milk or other milk of your choice
  • ½ avocado
  • 15 ml (1 Tbsp) lemon juice
  • ½ cucumber, peeled
  • ½ apple, peeled

Preparation

  • In a blender, mix the kale, seaweed and almond milk.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix again.

The kelp (marketed by Un Océan de Saveurs as “fucus”) used in this recipe has a marine flavour with notes of fleur de sel. If you opt for knotted wrack (marketed by Un Océan de Saveurs as “black goemon”), your smoothie will have pronounced aromatic and briny notes from the sea.
