Ingredients

  • 1 kg seal meat
  • 1 onion, finely diced
  • 125 ml olive oil
  • 60 ml parsley, chopped
  • 60 ml cilantro, chopped
  • 2 ml ground cumin
  • 2 ml smoked paprika
  • A few pistils of saffron
  • Freshly ground salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Cut the meat into thin slices.
  • Salt the meat and add diced onion, parsley and cilantro.
  • Incorporate the remaining spices and olive oil.
  • Let marinate for 1 hour.
  • In a sizzling hot frying pan, sear the meat for a few minutes.
  • Serve with a little mayonnaise spiked with cumin, lemon and fresh cilantro.
